Managing Executive
Introduction
The Managing Executive is required to lead the re-launch and growth of the business in the South African and International market into a 1000+ seater contact centre within 3 years
Duties & Responsibilities
Deliver operational leadership to ensure the quality of service delivery to clients.
Manage internal and external relationships to deepen the product offering and foster business growth
Implement a strategy for sustainable revenue growth and profitability.
Deliver a healthy sales pipeline and originate and implement transaction/deal opportunities to grow revenues.
Oversee the financial management of the business and make informed decisions (product pricing, resource allocation, procurement) to scale up profitably.
Introduce leading technologies, processes and data practices and design and deliver performance driven solutions for existing and new clients.
Manage key customer relationships, develop and close strategic opportunities to expand the customer relationship.
Attend and present market leadership at conferences, meetings and industry events to build the brand and profile of the business
Desired Experience & Qualification
Tertiary qualified preferred
A strong understanding of the BPO sector and previous experience in managing/optimising operations (operational mindset)
Minimum of 5 years related experience in a leadership role in a business with 300+ staff within the services and/or BPO sectors in SA and/or internationally
Proven negotiation and deal making skills Highly networked in corporate SA (preferably with an understanding of building an international strategy)
Proven track record of performance in a business leadership role
Highly persistent, resilient, proactive and assertive
Exceptional people and business management skills.
Detail-oriented and comfortable with a fast-paced environment.
Analytical thinker with excellent quantitative and superior problem-solving skills.
Entrepreneurial spirit with high level of determination

A clothing supplier has a vacancy for an enthusiastic and experienced Quality Manager to head up their Quality team in Newcastle (KZN).

Plan the daily movements of the team to the various CMTs according to requirements.
Ensure BPS and trial samples are approved timeously.
Ensure audits are conducted on time and to meet requirements.
Requirements:
5 Years QA (Quality Assurance) experience in the Clothing Industry.
Familiar with AQL, QA system.
Familiar with Chain Store QA procedures.
Computer Literate.
Driver’s License.
Traceable references.
Garment construction and Industrial Sewing machine experience a must.

Responsibilities:
Inspection of samples to ensure they are according to spec
Checking garment construction
Preparing Fit and PP reports and submitting to client
Printing reports for patternmakers and discussing any changes with them
Adherence to lead times for submission of Fits and PPS
Attending to queries from patternmakers in relation to sample/measurement/spec/amendments
Liaising with client in relation to queries
Preparing packages for factories QA
Submitting PPS report for DC booking
Liase with factories and QA to resolve any QA issues with bulk
Report regularly to Manager/MD on fit/seal statuses
Requirements:
Matric certificate
Relevant tertiary qualification will be an advantage
1-2 years experience in a similar role in clothing manufacture
Knowledge and understanding of garment construction
Experience working with Fits, PPS, workbooks, seals and related administration
Very good knowledge of Microsoft – Word, Excel, Outlook
Excellent communication skills required
Must be able to work well in a team
Ability to conduct CMT inspections and audits and having own vehicle would be an added advantage

The Ideal Candidate

Must have supervisory work experience
Must have a good understanding of plant and maintenance operations

Duties include
Operate a computerized maintenance system as well as report frequently on maintenance breakdowns, preventative maintenance adherence and condition of assets
Planning, requesting, and controlling spares needed for work
Anticipate labour requirements and arrange accordingly
Prioritize and schedule daily work and manage time to ensure that maximum productivity is met
Ensure that all equipment is maintained in good working order according to supplier’s maintenance requirements, prolonging its useful life
Completing job cards to ensure that the job card reports, job details of the work done, and time taken to complete the job are recorded on the job card
Co-ordinate with the Planner all maintenance activities on site, routine work, and breakdown work and emergency work to minimize downtime and delays
Ensure the quantity and quality of strategic spares is always available to ensure the minimum downtime of equipment and to minimize operational delays
Ensure that all documentation is completed and filed timeously
Ensure correct PPE is worn and available
Ensure that inspection of portable electrical equipment, lifting equipment, statutory and PPE is carried out

Qualifications
Minimum qualification = N3 – National Diploma in Engineering or any related qualification
