Ignite Manager (accountant) 16 views

Main description:

Manager is responsible for all internal staff file reviews, internal training assistance as well as assisting Head of Ignite with business development and client onboarding.


Qualifications & Experience required:

  • National Senior Certificate
  • Degree or Diploma equivalent
  • Completed SAICA/SAIPA/CIMA articles an advantage
  • At least 2 years of managerial experience
  • At least 5 years of experience in bookkeeping/accounting
  • Professional firm experience an advantage


Fully computer literate on:

  • Xero Accounting
  • PaySpace/SimplePay
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
  • SARS Efiling
  • Xero 3rd part applications


Key Duties & Responsibilities:

The successful applicant will be required to handle (but is not limited to) the following:


  • In depth knowledge of books to Balance Sheet
  • Appropriate accounting treatments of IFRS for SME’s
  • Drafting financials in Caseware (an advantage)
  • Review of monthly accounts produced by accounting team
  • Review of VAT calculations and VAT201 returns. Review and audits from SARS
  • Review of payroll files
  • Review of management accounts
  • Handle management account discussions with clients
  • Implementation and setup of clients on Xero, Receipt Bank, SimplePay and PaySpace
