Role Title: Privacy Manager – Technology
Location: London, Paddington
You will be expected to act as an Subject Matter Expert in your area of expertise and own and manage your portion work. You will liaise with a number of internal stakeholders including Data Centre, IT Operations, Cyber Security, Corporate Security, Supply Chain Management (SCM) etc. You will be expected to soundly perform fact gathering, analysis of privacy issues and driving privacy compliance controls on a day-to-day basis, as well as to produce, validate and distribute regular reports, key messages. You will be providing operational support to Senior Privacy Managers.
With us you will:
-Be responsible for privacy by design and assurance activities across a range of data processing activities within Group Technology, including conducting of privacy impact assessments;
-First point of contact for all privacy related matters within your area of expertise;
-Fostering privacy culture through regular engagements with Privacy Champions and Business Owners, providing training and advisory
-Personal data processing register ensuring data quality within records of processes, services platforms owned and managed by Group Technology Function
-Supplier compliance performing Transfer Impact Assessments and supporting contract managers and procurement lawyers in drafting and negotiating data processing agreements and performing compliance monitoring checks
-Developing and embedding templates, patterns, guidance and processes with the objective of continuous improvements of privacy controls
-Contributing to internal projects of Group Privacy team that may be required from time to time
-Build expertise in products and services managed and delivered by Technology Business Function.
It would be nice if you have:
-Expertise in new technologies, cloud, analytics, telecommunication networks, O365, cyber security, data governance, management of IT asset inventories, data centre
-Good understanding of global privacy landscape in technology, telecommunication and online businesses;
-Experience in drafting data processing terms, compliance policies and standards;
-Excellent command of English, and excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication and public speaking skills;
-Comfortable working in a matrix organisation with tolerance for ambiguity. Persistence to drive change over time;
-Courage to ‘stand up and be counted’ even when view is unpopular at a more senior level;
-Results oriented, proactive, responsible, pragmatic and ethical person with a passion for privacy and interest in technologies and their societal impact;
-Ability to analyse complex information and identify key and relevant points, including communicating in a relevant and easy to understand manner.
-Experience of OneTrust would be highly advantageous.
