PSA 659 MARKETING MANAGER, PROMINENT NON-PROFIT ORGANISATION

ARE YOU EXCITED AT THE PROSPECT OF WORKING IN A PROMINENT ORGANISATION WHICH PROVIDES AN ESSENTIAL SERVICE TO CHILDREN WHO ARE ILL OR IN NEED OF HEALTH CARE FROM ALL OVER AFRICA?

This important role in this Non-Profit organisation, falls as part of the Donor Relations Team, and needs an individual who has the skills and experience to develop implement and drive new marketing initiatives within this multi-disciplinary team.
You must be flexible, adaptable and able to handle a variety of tasks in meeting the objectives of this organisation that plays a crucial role in providing services and support to children from all over Africa, and their health needs. IT IS ESSENTIAL THAT YOU UNDERSTAND AND HAVE POSSIBILY EXTENSIVE EXPERIENCE OF WORKING IN THE NON-PROFIT SECTOR – THIS IS VERY DIFFERENT TO THAT OF PRODUCT BRANDING AND MARKETING.

You will have the following skills and expertise:-
•   Proven Experience of marketing strategy & brand development, preferably in the non-profit environment
•   Proven experience in above the line and below the line marketing
•   Strong marketing background with a proven track record of successful marketing campaigns that improved       awareness and generated income
•   Proven practical experience in digital marketing and a solid Search Engine Optimization (SEO) foundation
•   Proven experience in the components that make up digital marketing i.e. content marketing, email                       marketing,   social media marketing, mobile marketing, video marketing, website / search engine                         marketing.  Proven experience in website management and turning traffic into recurring visitors and                 donors/customers
•   Experience in monitoring the execution of digital marketing campaigns ensuring that everything is                       executed  correctly and on time
•   Experience in coordinating videos and photographs to be used as marketing content
•   Strong experience of direct marketing approaches and tools, product design and distribution
•   Proven experience in planning and organising marketing campaigns to generate income
•   Experience of product development/ marketing collateral and managing the implementation of these                   products in achieving organisational objectives
•   Writing of marketing briefs essential and Copywriting experience will be advantageous
•   Advanced computer literacy in word processing, spreadsheets and database management essential
•   Problem Solving and Initiative in sourcing solutions to issues that arise
•   Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
•   Demonstrated ability to develop and execute powerful marketing campaigns that engage the public
•   Good knowledge of income generating marketing principles and best practice will be an advantage
•   Good knowledge of marketing research tools, data analysis and reporting will be advantages
•   Proven experience in working with a team and driving results through collaboration
•   The skill to articulate strategies and concepts for service providers and team members to understand clearly
•   Ability to understand motivations/ narratives / campaign briefs for giving
•   Proven financial and project management skills
•   Able to write exceptionally well through story telling
•   A strategic thinker with excellent analytical and research skills
•   Pro-active identification and leveraging of new opportunities
•   Ability to work under pressure whilst still meeting all deadlines
•   Strong attention to detail
•   Creative out of the box thinking – displaying innovative ways of working

You will be required but not limited to the following responsibilities;
•   Developing fundraising and marketing copy for all marketing material
•   Creatively write stories that will generate funding and build the brand
•   Composition and working with the Donor Relation Team to generate stories for the website,                                   publications and marketing collateral etc
•   Generate Above the Line Marketing (Creative Agency, TV Ads, Billboard, Radio, Print Ads)
•   Generate Below-the-line marketing (Marketing Material, Annual report (printing and production costs),             Photography, Videography (shooting and editing)
•   Manage  Brand Ambassadors
•   Coordinate and oversee the work of our website and social media consultants
